Health Equity for Marginalised Communities: Access to quality healthcare should never depend on who you are, where you live, or your social status. Yet for many marginalised, vulnerable, and key populations, navigating the healthcare system remains a daily challenge shaped by stigma, discrimination, and structural barriers.
At the Foundation for Health Equity (FOHEQ), we believe that achieving true health equity requires more than providing services; it requires transforming systems. Through community-driven approaches, we expand access to HIV prevention, care, and treatment, promote sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), support mental health and psychosocial services, and advocate for policies that protect human rights.
Our work prioritises differentiated service delivery models that make healthcare more accessible and convenient, particularly for those in low-resource and conflict-affected settings. By partnering with communities, healthcare providers, and stakeholders, we ensure that services are inclusive, culturally competent, and responsive to real needs.
Health equity is not just a goal, it is a commitment to dignity, fairness, and opportunity for all. Together, we can break barriers, reduce stigma, and build a future where everyone has the chance to live a healthy and fulfilling life.
